Colophon

This site is deliberately plain: one column, system-light JavaScript, and type doing most of the work.

It’s built with Zola, a single-binary static site generator. Articles are Markdown; the layout is a handful of Tera templates.

The typeface is Atkinson Hyperlegible Next from the Braille Institute, chosen for its clarity and generous letterforms, with Atkinson Hyperlegible Mono for code. Body text runs in a blue you’ve seen a thousand times, with a warm red-orange reserved for accents.

Light and dark themes follow your system preference and can be toggled; the choice is remembered. Hosted on a CDN, rebuilt automatically on every merge.

The mark is a PM monogram — Peter Miller — drawn as a single brush gesture: the P in the theme’s ink color and the M in the accent, set just left of the name and enlarged on the home page. It’s hand-built SVG, so it stays crisp at any size and is reused as the favicon, which adapts to your browser’s light or dark setting.
